The Holiday season is here and all around the house we are getting ready for the big event on Christmas eve. We always make a big deal out of Christmas, we decorate both inside and outside to the max and over the years have won awards for the best decorated home. We don't enter those any more, but we still decorate like we do.
Several years ago we decided that we would scale back and just decorate a small patio at the front of the house. So we gave away all of the big decorations to the kids and Goodwill. My wife came home one say with a blow up snowman and said it will not take up much room. well several years later the yards are covered with blowup things and we are right back where we were.
Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy seeing little kids enjoy the scenes and neighbors wanting to know when we will have every thing up so they can have their Christmas party, but the older we get the harder it is to do all of the climbing. Last year as we were putting the decorations away in the storage area above the garage I asked our son to help put the 9ft boxed Christmas tree up there which he did, well this year when I started bringing it down by myself, I almost fell off the ladder, and wrenched my back in the process, Next year the tree will be stored in a corner of the garage.
We wish you all a merry Christmas
