You know your getting old when

I guess all things make a complete circle in life, but it seems like I'm starting to loose a lot of old friends lately.
While we were on our trip to Dallas Texas a good friend Norm came down with Pneumonia and the hospital where he was being treated could not treat him properly and transfered him to a hospital in Las Vegas that had a special department to treat this ailment...Norm died while in a medically induced coma. I'm going to miss my visits with "Storming Norman"

When we got home, the first morning I got up at 5:30 and turned my Ham radio on to talk with an old friend on 220mhz. well I turned out that Shorty (AE6DY) had passed away only 2 days prior from Lung Cancer. Shorty I'm going to miss your smiling voice every time I key up.

On Sunday I received a call from a good neighbor of my cousin Eddie Joe who lives in Oklahoma to tell me that Eddie Joe had passed away earlier. Eddie and his wife had bought a Park Model in a campground in Alamo Tx to spend the winter months in and had gone there at the end of Sept. He started feeling bad last week and returned home to see his Doctor who put him in the hospital where he died less than 24 hours later.
I'm very glad that I got to spend one whole day with him while we were there on vacation in Sept.

All of these people hold a special place in my heart and know they are in a better place.
