We were just leaving for 10 days to join friends for a Deer hunting trip when the people we do side jobs for called. They had a job in Dallas, Texas that paid enough that we could not refuse. We still went to Deer camp but left last Monday morning, got home early afternoon and unloaded the hunting gear and loaded the work stuff and left for Dallas Tuesday morning at 7:00.
Made it all the way to Benson, Az and pulled into the Wal-Mart parking lot just after dark and the lot is posted " No RV parking " I don't know what these little towns think they are doing by passing laws forcing people to leave their town and go some where else with their money.
Made it all the way to Pecos,Tx the next day and spent the night in a Wal-Mart where we spent almost $100 on stuff that we would have bought in Benson if they had been RV friendly.
We arrived at the Lewisville Lake RV Park where we had made reservations in the late afternoon, co-workers were leading with a GPS unit that works thu a Droid cell phone. Well it took us thu downtown FW at rush hour, what a mess that was, then it took us to the local landfill site, where it thought we were camping. well a couple of U-turns and we found the campground about 2 miles away. Very nice place with a campsite on the lake, with elect/water for $8.00 a day, this is half price because we are Seniors, so we will be here for about 13 days. While going thru the campground paperwork I saw that they have free wi-fi also and it works.
Now I need to take that Samuri and get all that road grim washed off.
battle?
