I think I need a nap

We took off last Monday with 3 of the Grandkids, hoping to give their mother a few days of peice and quite as she recovers from a surgery. Well all went well until we got to the camp ground.

I took 2 of their bikes so they could ride around the park and stay out of the MH, well that lasted all of about 15 mins.---Papa we want to go swimming, can we go to the game room, do you have $10.00 worth of quarters?. can you take us to the fishing lake. Yuck- can you take this fish off of my line. Papa where are my shoes?

On the second day it was all of the above and more---What in the hell were we thinking when we decided to do this. then about noon things started to smooth out the 2 older kids found friends to play with and the little 2 1/2 yeal old just wanted to jump into the pool so I could catch her--I can do that. They were all asleep by 9:00 that evening and I was out by 9:30.

I found out that if you just sneek in and get the coffee pot and leave the kids alone they will sleep until after 9:00am. then it's Papa can you climb to the top of that hill with us--NO--, And for the last time get out of the top of that tree. I only had to fix 1 flat tire on a bicycle, but had to drive 5 miles to find a patch kit, while I was looking for a place to get the patch kit I found a pie shop and picked up a big apple pie---Yummmmmmm--

We had planned on coming home on Thursday but the campground said since we were there during the middle of the week we could stay one more day free so we did.
Got home Friday afternoon and cleaned out the MH. The kids father picked them up on Saturday and we just kicked back last night and went out for breakfast this morning, I still have the MH in front of the house to clean the carpet but I think I will do that tomorrow.

About those Solar panels I was talking about. We do a lot of Boondocking in the cooler months with friends with ATV's and Motorcycles, I do have a little 1000 Watt generator that I use to keep the 4 golf cart 6V battiers charged and the MH has a 6KW Onan for the big stuff when needed. I think that I would just like to have a couple of 200 watt panels that would keep every thing charged. I found them at SUN SOLAR at a great price--under $2.00 a watt.

I just got a call from the company that I do Automotive research projects for and she is biding on a job in Fargo North Dakota in the middle of Sept. Looks like she will get it. if so then we plan on driving the MH to Fargo and when it's over head down to the Tulsa,Ok area where we have friends that want us to come and visit. The job sounds like fun it's a drive study involving Tractors and they invite farmers from the area to test drive them as we ask them questions. The job will pay for all of our travel expense's so it will be a fun trip.

  1. For sure, you need a nap after all that. God in all his wisdom made it so old people can't have babies, and that is for a reason (grin).

Now really, didn't you have fun.
