We took off in the motorhome on the 6th, not real sure where we were going, well that's not true because we knew where we wanted to go we just didn't know when we wanted to get there. We stopped in Camarello to meet up with our daughter Kristin and give her some things her kids had left at the house the last time they were there. Had lunch with her then took off up highway 101 toward Santa Barbara. We decided to go on in to Jalama Beach campground and hope there was a space available for us, there was and we got set up before dark.
The wind blew all but 2 days while we were there (14 days) but any day at the beach is better than the best day in LA.
We had a great time, and made some good friends with other campers. did some surf fishing, the fishing was great but the catching was the problem, the surf perch just were not running like they normally do.
We did some sighseeing several days while the wind was blowing, Lompoc one day and then Solvang on anotherday, we even got over to Morro Bay one day. Overall it was a good trip even though it was windy
We came home yesterday and I spent the day today cleaning up the motorhome and getting it put away. Now we can relax and take a looooong shower.
