Well it's sure nice to be back home. We arrived yesterday afternoon and just came in and crashed. Could not wait to take a loooong shower. Now the work begans in cleaning up the motorhome.
Looks like everyone east of El Paso is being blasted by winter storm's. I remember those ice and sleet storm's blowing in out of the north, nothing to stop them but barb wire and fence posts, sure cut's down on the lawn mowing though.
5:45pm--Just got back from the motorhome storage place,GURRRRRR got there 10 minutes after they closed had to come back and repark the rig in front of the house, I'll take it over there early in the morning.
After being out dry camping for 3 weeks, I think I need to install about 200 plus watts of solar panel to keep up with the power drain from watching tv when the weather is nasty. I have a small 1000 watt generator that does a great job and is real easy on fuel, it's just the noise that you have to deal with, mine is real quite but it is still there. I will have to do some research on good prices and what kind of controller to get.
Well it's 6:00pm here and it is 56 degrees outside, so all of you folks in the bad weather states read it and weep.

You don't use the big generator in your RV?
ReplyDeleteYes we do DD, but it uses .8 tenths of a gallon per hour and the little 1000W unit will run for 5-6 hours on 3/4 gal. When you need to charge battery's it's better to use the small unit. Now when we need to make coffee or toast or run the micro wave we turn on the big unit.
