We spent the weekend with a group of camper at a campground near Hemit,Ca. About 10 rigs in this group and we had a good relaxing time, just setting around a campfire telling stories. Had a pot luck dinner on Sat evening and again on Sun morning.
We have had great weather here, it was 66 degrees at 6:00 pm this evening. We will be loading up for our annual trip to Quartzsite Az for the next few days. most of it will be clothes and a few food items, most of the food is already loaded from this trip.
I don't know about these guys moving off to some place like Terlinqua to live off grid. I guess if you can buy the property at the right price and you have cell service or a land line then it would be a place to stay in the spring and fall. the only problem is security when it's summertime and your gone. I can see someone setting up their R/V with a cover and a nice covered porch, because you have all the stuff you need, a good solar charging system and some way to store water and a septic system. Now don't get me wrong, I think guys like John & TFFN are doing it the right way.... Move there and stay on your property year round, build it from the ground up, you don't have to worry about what to do with your stuff when you leave in the hot months
